❓ What is NEET Entrance Exam

NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) is a national-level entrance exam in India for admission to:

  • MBBS
  • BDS
  • AYUSH courses (BAMS, BHMS, etc.)

NEET is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).

To appear for NEET, you must:

  • Be studying or have passed Class 12
  • Have Physics, Chemistry, Biology (PCB) as main subjects
  • Minimum marks in PCB:
    • General: 50%
    • OBC/SC/ST: 40%
  • Minimum age: 17 years
  • You only need to pass Class 12 with required PCB marks
  • Your NEET score determines your rank, not your board percentage (beyond eligibility)
  • Mode: Offline (pen & paper)
  • Subjects:
    • Physics
    • Chemistry
    • Biology (Botany + Zoology)
  • Total Questions: 200 (180 to be attempted)
